So Thrilled, I’ll take your Job

David Seymour is the leader of New Zealand’s ACT Party and a member of the New Zealand parliament. He is clearly highly intelligent and well-spoken. When he was interviewed on the Leighton Smith podcast, he attracted high praise from many listeners. I voted for ACT in the last election.

But my support for ACT and Mr Seymour fell to zero when he came out strongly in support of vaccine mandates. I was surprised and disappointed by this, and wrote an open letter to Mr Seymour to voice my opinion. No reply. Sadly, but understandably, no surprise either.

Recently, I was made aware that Mr Seymour was being criticized for his vaccine mandate stance on Facebook after he posted some “New Year’s resolutions”. Here is his reply to those who voiced their opinion:

Firstly, note that Mr Seymour says:

ACTs position is that people should be able to choose what goes on their property, so we believe the Government’s policy is wrong”

Just reflect on that. He believes people should be able to choose what goes on their property, but he does not believe they should be able to choose what goes into their bodies. No, THAT is the domain of government, Big Tech and Big Pharma, and Mr Seymour apparently has no problem with this Trifecta’s track record.

Secondly, according to Mr Seymour, the reason why businesses would still require vaccination (i.e. implement vaccine mandates) are:

Because their staff and customers demand it. Why? Well because the overwhelming majority of us are thrilled with the technology that is mRNA vaccines.

So what he says is that the ACT party supports a government policy that forces people to lose their jobs if they do not participate in a medical experiment by taking an experimental drug. And his stated motivation for this is: because most people want this. That is, I assume, they would “feel safe” after having been swept into a fear frenzy by government paid media.

This is the most unscientific reason you could possibly give in support of vaccine mandates: “because the people want it”. As I pointed out in an earlier post – the only possible rational motivation for going to the extreme of vaccine mandates is if the experimental treatment was a sterilizing vaccine, and if there was overwhelming evidence that the vaccines prevent transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in its latest variants. I could add to this: AND that the long term benefits of the treatment in terms of all-cause-mortality significantly outweighs the harms.

Clearly there is no such evidence – in fact, there appears to be early signals that the opposite may be true in the case of Omicron. I discussed this in my earlier post and also gave a link to an article that neatly summarizes the lack of evidence that the experimental mRNA injections have any significant impact on transmission of the virus.

After giving his reason for forcing people out of their jobs, Mr Seymour then relaxes himself into the pejorative “people are doing their own ‘research'” theme. Books will be written about this in future – how the population was discouraged to think for themselves. It appears to me that David Seymour has gone so far into the “Heil Pfizer” science-religious cult that he believes people – even medical doctors or data scientists – who do their own research about their health choices is something to be derided – something unwanted that should be censored.

It is a sad state our world is in. Perhaps only poetry can save us.

Please share my blog as widely as you feel comfortable to do. I do not want to sound alarmist, as is the habit of the mainstream media, but I really do believe we are in a battle in which technocrats and political ideologues are attempting to force a centralized, dehumanized and atheist-scientific-materialist way of life on us.
